BEFORE WE BEGIN

Planning a wedding naturally comes with questions. Below, you’ll find thoughtful answers about the Ivory Belle experience, including booking, communication, investment, planning support, and what to expect as your celebration approaches.

01 · GETTING STARTED

Planning & Booking

  • Most couples reserve their date 9–18 months in advance, particularly for popular spring and fall weekends. Because Ivory Belle accepts a limited number of weddings each year, reaching out early is always encouraged. If your celebration is approaching sooner, please don’t hesitate to inquire—availability may still remain.

  • Your date is officially reserved once your contract has been signed and the initial 25% payment has been received. Until both are completed, your date remains available to other couples.

  • After submitting the inquiry form, you’ll receive information about availability and the planning experiences that may best support your celebration. From there, we’ll schedule a consultation to discuss your vision, priorities, and planning needs. If we feel like the right fit, you’ll receive a personalized proposal with your contract and payment details.

  • Ivory Belle never double-books weddings on the same date. Weekend availability is intentionally limited so each couple receives the preparation, attention, and support their celebration deserve

  • Absolutely. Ivory Belle is based in North Carolina and welcomes celebrations throughout the state and beyond. Travel fees may apply depending on the location and scope of your wedding, and any anticipated costs will be clearly outlined before booking.

02 · THE EXPERIENCE

Planning & Communication

  • Communication is tailored to your planning experience and the stage of your celebration. You’ll receive structured check-ins, scheduled planning meetings, and ongoing email support as outlined within your selected experience. My goal is for you to feel consistently supported without making the process feel overwhelming.

  • Yes. Vendor communication is included according to the scope and timeline of your selected experience. For full and partial planning couples, I’m involved earlier in the process. For wedding management couples, I’ll step in closer to the wedding to confirm details, coordinate logistics, and ensure everyone is working from the same plan.

  • Yes. Budget guidance is included within the Belle and Reserve Experiences, with the level of support varying by package. I’ll help you understand priorities, anticipate commonly overlooked expenses, and make informed decisions throughout the process. The Cornerstone Experience does not include comprehensive budget management.

  • The Belle Experience includes comprehensive design development, while the Reserve Experience provides design refinement and guidance for the ideas you’ve already begun creating. Cornerstone focuses primarily on logistics and wedding-day execution rather than developing the overall visual design.

  • You’ll have access to an organized client portal along with shared planning documents, questionnaires, timelines, and other resources appropriate to your experience. These tools give us one clear place to track decisions, information, and next steps throughout the planning process.

03 · THE CELEBRATION

WEDDING-DAY SUPPORT

Experienced coordination and a calm, capable presence when every detail comes together.

  • The timing depends on your selected planning experience. Belle and Reserve couples receive vendor support earlier in the planning process, while Cornerstone couples transition vendor communication to Ivory Belle during the final planning phase. Before the wedding, I’ll confirm logistics, arrival times, responsibilities, and final details with the complete vendor team.

  • Yes. I’ll create a detailed wedding-day timeline that brings together the ceremony, reception, vendor arrivals, deliveries, transitions, and important personal moments. Once finalized, it will be distributed to your vendor team so everyone is working from one clear plan.

  • Ceremony rehearsal coordination is provided as outlined within your selected experience. I’ll guide the wedding party through the processional, recessional, positioning, and essential ceremony details so everyone feels comfortable and prepared.

  • Every Ivory Belle experience includes a lead planner and planning assistant. If your guest count, venue layout, or celebration logistics require additional support, we’ll discuss staffing recommendations with you in advance.

  • Coverage is based on your selected experience and the needs of your wedding day. Your proposal will clearly outline the included hours, and additional coverage can be arranged when needed to support an extended celebration.

  • Handling the unexpected is an important part of my role. I’ll calmly assess the situation, coordinate with the appropriate vendors, and find the best available solution—often without you ever needing to know there was a problem. If a decision requires your input, I’ll bring you clear options rather than unnecessary stress.
